SOCR Data - # Allometric relationship between population density, body mass and metabolic activity in Plants

Data Description

  • Prameters:
    • N = population density (number/m2)
    • M = body mass (g/number)
    • d = allometric exponent
    • Alt = altitude
    • Long = longitude
    • Lat = latitude(N,deg.)
    • L = leaf mass

All of the data used in this study were collected from the literature. These data spanned a range of latitudes (18oN and 53oN), and altitudes (10m to 4240m above sea level), including 1266 plots/populations from six biomes and 17 forest types across China. The species under investigation included angiosperms and gymnosperms.
