SOCR Analyses Example on Survival Analysis Using the Kaplan-Meyer Method.

This example is based on the data taken from "Modern Applied Statistics with S" by Venables and Ripley, Fourth Edition, Springer, 2002. (Page 357) Note that the data is also available in the free statistical analysis tool R, under the dataset "gehan".

In this survival dataset, there are two types of treatment groups, denoted by 6-MP and control.

The analysis steps:

1. If you click the button "Example" and then "Data", you'll see the data displayed as below. Here, 0 denotes for censored data, and 1 denotes for non-censored data.

2. You'll need to tell the computer which column is the time, treatment group, and censored/non-censored. This is done by "Mapping." Click on the "Mapping" button to assign columns to proper variables.
