SOCR Analysis Example on Wilcoxon Two Independent Sample Rank Test

This example is based on the data taken from "Mathematical Statistics and Data Analysis" by John A. Rice, Second Edition, Ducbury Press, 1995. (Page 390)

Note that this text book uses the data for a Two Independent T-Test but we're only taking the data to demonstrate the Wilcoxon Two Independent Sample Rank Test.

1. As you start the SOCR Analyes Applet, click on "Two Indepedent Sample Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test" from the combo box in the left panel.

hen click the button "Example" and then "Data", you'll see the data displayed as below.

2. Tell the computer to include the variables, by clicking on the "Mapping" button.

3. Next, click on the "Calculate" button. Then click on the "Result" button to see the results.
